Visit Northumberland’s largest family run farm attraction and see traditional and exotic animals close up.
You’ll meet llamas, alpacas, reindeer, and striped skunks, among other creatures. You can also book an opportunity to bottle feed lambs and say hi to some reptiles. Once you’ve seen all of the animals on the farm, you can let the kids enjoy a tractor ride or outdoor play while you relax in the café.
Johnsons at Old Hurst

For a slightly more unusual day at the farm, head to Johnsons at Old Hurst. This carbon neutral farm grants free access to all children and adults, so you can get close to animals and livestock and understand their importance to the environment.
Watch cattle, deer and buffalo roam the fields, and then visit the zoo, where you can even see crocodiles!
