If you want to enjoy a fun family day out, visit Cogges Manor Farm. You can all feed the farm animals and see the Pygmy goats, miniature Shetland pony, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, turkeys, chickens and ducks.

Kids can also enjoy the adventure play area 'Cogges Castle' timber fort with slides and a zip wire. There’s even a soft play area for kids under 5. If you’re visiting with friends, you can play a game of swingball, cricket or outdoor games.

Once you’ve seen all of the animals on the farm, you can let the kids enjoy a tractor ride or outdoor play while you relax in the café.

For a slightly more unusual day at the farm, head to Johnsons at Old Hurst. This carbon neutral farm grants free access to all children and adults, so you can get close to animals and livestock and understand their importance to the environment.

Watch cattle, deer and buffalo roam the fields, and then visit the zoo, where you can even see crocodiles!
