How do I join The Breakaway Club?

Is there a fee to join The Breakaway Club? 
The joining fee to join The Breakaway Club is £49. You’ll only need to pay the fee once, providing you make at least one stay at a hotel in The QHotels Collection every 24 months. Not a member yet? Join Breakaway Club today by clicking here.

Where can I update my personal information?

Do I receive a membership card when I first join? 
Yes, once you’ve signed up you’ll be sent a confirmation email with a link to log in and download your personal digital membership card. We don’t send out physical cards to our Breakaway Club Members. If you’re unable to download your digital card for any reason, you can use your confirmation email as proof of your membership – simply print out the email to take with you to make sure you receive all your in-hotel member benefits. 

Where do I use my digital membership card? 
Your digital card must be presented at check in when you arrive at the hotel and at any of the guest areas whereby you are enjoying a Breakaway Club benefit, such as 10% off food and beverage, you would present when you are in the bar or restaurant.  

What benefits do I get as a Breakaway Club member?

Do I receive these member benefits every time I stay? 
Yes, you do. All the benefits however are subject to availability. Please note: the discount off stays is only available at our Individual hotels and not our Hilton & Marriott properties. Please bear in mind that some of the benefits require you to secure the benefit at the time of booking and some in advance. How do I claim my member benefits? 
Some benefits are claimed in hotels, but others you’ll need to secure when you make your booking. Please find full details below: 

  1. In order to receive your 15% discount off stays and 10% off Spa and Golf breaks you must book via our website on www.qhotels.co.uk/breakaway or by calling: 0113 831 5377 and are not available when booking via any other travel website or call centre. 
  2. Free drink – simply show us your membership card / confirmation email when you arrive, and the team will give you your voucher to hand over to the bar team when you are ready to enjoy your complimentary drink.
  3. 10% off golf tee times – advise us of your Breakaway Club Membership details when you book a round.
  4. 10% off spa treatments – advise us of your Breakaway Club Membership details when you book a round.
  5. 10% off food and drinks – show your membership card at the bar or to your server in the restaurant.  
  6. 50% off Dog Charges – you must book via our Contact Centre on 0113 831 5377 

What can I have as my free drink? 
One complimentary drink per person per stay will be awarded. If additional rooms are booked by the Breakaway Club Member, drinks vouchers will not be issued to those guests, unless they are Breakaway Club Members themselves. The only exception to this, is where children of the Breakaway Club Member are staying in a second room.

  • 25ml house spirit and mixer
  • Glass of house wine (175ml)
  • Glass of prosecco (125ml)
  • Soft drink
  • Pint of draught beer or cider 

If staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Westerwood Spa & Golf Resort your drink will be served with dinner.  

Can children stay free? 
Up to two children aged between 0 - 16 years stay for FREE when sharing a room with a paying adult at all our hotels. Full terms and conditions apply and can be found by clicking here.  

I was already a Breakaway Club member, am I automatically a member of the new programme?  
Customers who were Breakaway Club members previously (prior to October 2024) can sign up for free before 31 March 2025. Simply call 0113 831 5377 or email breakaway; [email protected]  

Once you sign up you will receive all the great benefits that come as part of the new and improved Breakaway Club. And as long as you make one stay within a 24-month period you will never lose your membership. If you don’t make one stay within this 24-month period, you will lose your membership and be required to pay the £49 fee if you wish to re-join. 

I’m a Breakaway Club member, does everyone on my booking receive the member benefits? 
The benefits only apply to the Breakaway Club Member and the person staying with them in their room. If children are part of the booking and are in a second room, they too are entitled to the benefits.  The only exception is the 10% off food & beverage. If the Breakaway Club Member has booked multiple rooms, the discount can be applied but must be paid at the outlet by the Member or charged to the room of the Breakaway Club Member. The bill cannot be split.

  1. The £49 Joining Fee and membership is non-refundable and non-transferable.  

  1. Customers who were Breakaway Club members previously (prior to October 2024) can renew their membership by signing up for free here: www.qhotels.co.uk/renew/ until 31 March 2025. Or simply call 0113 831 5377 or email breakaway; [email protected]  After this point the £49 Joining Fee will apply. 

Members (prior to 1 October 2024) MUST renew their membership to enjoy all the new and improved benefits of membership. The Breakaway Club is now a subscription programme and requires Members to be staying at a hotel within The QHotels Collection once every two years to retain their membership. Failure to do so will mean the Member will be required to pay the joining fee of £49 to continue enjoying their membership benefits.

All Breakaway Club package bookings made during our summer 2024 campaign will be honoured and do not require Renewal of Membership.

  1. Once you have joined Breakaway Club your ‘active’ status will remain in effect for the remainder of the calendar year in which you join and then for the following two calendar years. In order for your Breakaway Club status to remain ‘active’ you must make at least one stay within this time frame. If you fail to do so your Membership will be cancelled, and you will be required to pay the £49 Membership Fee if you choose to join again to enjoy the benefits 

  1. Members must be over the age of 18 and UK resident.

Members will be sent a confirmation email with a prompt to download their digital card. Physical cards will not be issued. When booking room reservations either via our call centre or online please ensure you provide the details you signed up to the programme with, which includes your first & last name and email address to make sure you are recognised as a Breakaway Club Member. Failure to provide this information will mean the offers and benefits are not available. 

  1. You will be required to present your Digital Breakaway Club Card at the hotel on check-in every time you stay to ensure you are awarded your in-hotel benefits. 

  1. Your Digital membership card is not a credit card, cheque guarantee or payment card of any kind.

All members benefits & offers are subject to availability and reviewed on an annual basis. There are no cash alternatives to the benefits, and they are not transferable. Please note that all benefits only apply to the Breakaway Club Member and the person staying with them in their room. Once you join Breakaway Club you will be able to log in to the website: www.qhotels.co.uk/breakaway using your email address and password registered to your account. You will then be able to access the discounted rate. Please note that this discount is only available at our Individual hotels, so not our branded Hilton Doubletree and Marriot by Delta hotels. You can also call the dedicated Breakaway Club number to book: 0113 831 5377. The discount only applies to our always on core Spa & Golf packages (not our special promotional Spa & Golf packages). Our core spa packages can be found on our website here. Our core golf packages can be found on our website here.

c. 10% off Spa Days. This discount is only applicable on our core spa day packages; Simply Spa, Signature Spa, Indulgence Spa, Ultimate Spa & Discovery Spa. You must book your spa day in advance by calling 0113 831 5377. Please note that the discount is subject to availability. 

d. Complimentary drink can be from a choice of either a House Spirit 25ml + Mixer, Soft Drink, Glass of House Wine (175ml), Prosecco (125ml) or a Pint - Draught Beer or Cider, or our Seasonal drink. You will be handed a voucher per person on check-in for you to enjoy during your stay. If staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Westerwood Spa & Golf Resort your drink will be served with dinner. One complimentary drink per person per stay will be awarded. If additional rooms are booked by the Breakaway Club Member, drinks vouchers will not be issued to those guests, unless they are Breakaway Club Members themselves. The only exception to this, is where children of the Breakaway Club Member are staying in a second room.   

e. 10% off food and beverage during your stay. Please note that this 10% only applies to food & drink purchased during your stay. In order to be awarded the 10% discount you must show your card at time of ordering your food and drink. Please note that the 10% discount will not be applied to the package booked, for example if you book a Bed and Breakfast rate the 10% will not be applied. The only exception is where there is extra spend over the food allocation included in the package e.g. £32. In this instance the 10% will be applied to the amount over the allocation.

f. 10% off spa treatments (during your stay). Can be booked via the call centre on 0113 831 5377 or on property during your stay. Treatments can be booked in advance of your stay. Restrictions apply to certain hotels: Spa Days / Spa Treatments at the following hotels cannot be booked until two weeks out: Cambridge, Cheltenham, Chesford, Dunston, Forest, Norton, Oxford, Park Royal & Slaley. Please note that the discount is subject to availability. 

g. 10% off Golf Tee Times (during your stay). Can be booked via the call centre on 0113 831 5377 or on property during your stay. Golf Tee Times can be booked in advance of your stay. Please note that the discount is subject to availability. 

h. 10% off Spa Treatments (when not staying). Can only be booked via the call centre on: 0113 831 5377. Treatments can be booked in advance of your stay. Restrictions apply to certain hotels: Spa Days / Spa Treatments at the following hotels cannot be booked until two weeks out: Cambridge, Cheltenham, Chesford, Dunston, Forest, Norton, Oxford, Park Royal & Slaley. Please note that the discount is subject to availability.  

i. 10% off Golf Tee Times (when not staying). Can be booked via the call centre on 0113 831 5377 or on property. Golf Tee Times can be booked in advance of your stay. Please note that the discount is subject to availability. 

j. 50% off Dog charges. Bookings where dogs are to be included must be via the call centre on: 0113 831 5377. Members can bring up to two dogs and the charge for bringing the dog will be at a reduction of 50%.

  1. You will be sent four seasonal Breakaway Club Package offers each year. Separate terms and conditions will apply.
