The hotel is very beautiful, well decorated, spacious and has well-kept grounds
We recently held our wedding at Aldwark Manor and it really was perfect. The hotel itself is very beautiful, well decorated, spacious and well-kept grounds with excellent photo opportunities both inside and out.
We had our ceremony and wedding breakfast in the Walsingham Suite. It feels intimate yet grand, with a large chandelier and traditional fireplace. The garden outside the Walsingham Suite provided a private area for photos, drinks and canapes but guests also enjoyed sitting out on the terrace until the sun went down! In the evening we used the larger and more modern Marston Suite. There was plenty of space with a large dance floor and private bar.
The wedding co-ordinator, Kim, was excellent from the start. She listened to our ideas and really understood what we wanted for our day. She arranged meetings, menu tasters and really went out of her way to make the day as perfect as possible. This was all made possible by the wonderful staff led by Sagar on the day. Nothing was too much trouble for Sagar and his team. They all worked extremely hard and with real enthusiasm to ensure our day was special.
A big thank you to the chef who provided us with taste sensations throughout the day. Everybody commented on how delicious the food was, especially the fish and chip canapés! We had an afternoon tea wedding breakfast, with some filling extras such as mini steak pies, sausage rolls and arancini – all homemade and truly delicious! The melt in your mouth scones were still warm from the oven and the mountains of miniature cakes on stands were simply beautiful. The peanut butter macarons were amazing!
The bridal suite, room 315 was incredible. The word spacious does not do this room justice; it has a spiral staircase leading to the bedroom on a mezzanine. This gave the photographer some stunning shots of my dress and provided lots of light for getting ready.
It was lovely to have a venue where most of our guests could stay. A big thank you to Kasha, the Reception Manager, who went above and beyond to make sure everyone got booked in and thoroughly enjoyed their stay.
We cannot thank the team at Aldwark for making our day so perfect, we really are so grateful!
