Jon Marshall

Biography

I spent 15 years in the British Army prior to becoming a PT where one of my best achievements was passing the All Arms Commando Course and earning my Green Beret. When I left the Army in 2010 I set up my own fitness company JMFitness and Health and have been Personal Training and running fitness classes for the last 5 years building up a substantial client base in Ripon, North Yorkshire.  My main sport is Mountain Biking and I compete regularly at both Cross Country and Endurance events, racing solo for up to 24 hours at a time, where mental strength can be just as important as physical strength.

Specialisms:

Due to my background and my interest in endurance sports I specialise in training  sportsmen and women who are interested in being the best they can be in their chosen sport. I work a lot on big functional movements and concentrate heavily on the core muscles. I also help people with Lower Back Injuries and complaints ensureing that the can follow a carefully prescribed exercise program and hopefully go someway to reducing their symptons, in some cases relieving them of pain completely.
