A group of luxury hotels has donated more than £40,000 to the
NSPCC - and has vowed to continue its charity partnership into
All 26 QHotels - which are operated by the UK's leading
independent hotel management company, RBH - raised a grand total of
£40,651 for the UK's leading children's charity in 2017.
And big-hearted employees will continue their fundraising
efforts for the charity throughout the rest of 2018, and into 2019
- as well as helping their RBH colleagues raise money for a second
charity partner, Make-A-Wish UK®.
As a group, employees have pledged to raise £40,000 for each of
the causes by February 2019.
The NSPCC benefited from a host of activities throughout 2017,
with members of The Nottingham Belfry team braving a sky dive, the
team at Belton Woods tackling a 5k run and Tankersley Manor's team
taking on the Lake District Challenge. The funds were also
bolstered by a gala ball at Ashford International and a garden fete
at Norton Park.
Susan Bland, Chief Operations Support Officer at RBH, which
manages the QHotels portfolio, said: "We're absolutely thrilled to
not only hand over such a fantastic amount raised by our teams to
the charity, but also to pledge our commitment to continue our
efforts for the rest of 2018 and beyond
"The NSPCC does fantastic work to help children across the UK,
and it will be our privilege to partner up with them for another
year in the hope of raising £40,000 - as well as working towards
raising £40,000 for our second charity partner, Make-A-Wish UK
"We have thousands of exceptionally generous and enthusiastic
colleagues across the UK, and I have no doubt that we'll see
another phenomenal response from them across the year to help us
achieve our fundraising targets."
Deborah Quinn, Corporate Partnerships Manager at NSPCC, the UK's
leading children's charity, added: "We are grateful for the hard
work of everyone involved in raising money for us last year and we
are delighted to be one of the charity partners of RBH in 2018.
"The QHotels teams have already shown a massive commitment to
fundraising for the NSPCC and we look forward to their continued
support, helping us to provide vital support to children and young
people across the UK."
