Unsung hero praised at prestigious awards night

A maintenance manager from Leeds has been honored for going above and beyond his role at the 11th anniversary Leeds Hotels & Venues Association (LHVA) Awards.

Chris Milner, who works at Oulton Hall, won an Unsung Hero Award at the black tie event recently where judges praised him for excelling in his role and raising the standard of maintenance at the hotel.

A further two colleagues from Oulton Hall were also recognised for their hard work over the past year. Conference and Banqueting supervisor Charlotte Judd was runner up in the Rising Star category and Drawing Room Assistant Robbie Smith came second for the Apprentice of the Year Award.

Claire Steven, General Manager of Oulton Hall, Leeds, said: "We are thrilled that three of our colleagues have been recognised at the LHVA Awards this year.

"Charlotte is an inspirational team player and Robbie has really flourished with us this year, but the biggest accomplishment for Oulton Hall was the well-deserved Unsung Hero title for Chris.

"The awards are an opportunity to honour the best of the city's hospitality businesses and I'm incredibly proud of our team. Big congratulations to Chris, Charlotte, Robbie, and all the other winners and runners up on the night."
