Crewe Hall to receive top tourism award

Crewe Hall is to receive a top national accolade after being announced as a finalist in the 2016 Visit England Awards for Excellence.

One of QHotels' 26 four-star hotels across the UK, Crewe Hall has been shortlisted in the Business Tourism category, highlighting the strength of its corporate conference and events offering, including its state-of-the-art conference and events centre.

The awards recognise businesses that champion best practice, demonstrate excellence in customer service and celebrate the very best in quality and innovation.

The hotel is set to receive either a Gold, Silver, Bronze or Highly Commended accolade at the ceremony held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on Tuesday 8th March 2016.

Mart Louwerse, General Manager at Crewe Hall, said: "The Visit England Excellence Awards are the highest accolade in English tourism and we are honoured to be recognised amongst the best in the industry.

"I'd like to thank the team here at Crewe Hall for their passion and drive to deliver quality customer service that is inspired by our guests.

"We are continually enhancing our offering based on the feedback we receive and this award shows that our business tourism offer is not only of a high standard, but something that Visit England believes to be one of the best in the country."

Sally Balcombe, chief executive of VisitBritain and VisitEngland, said: "Awards for Excellence finalists exemplify outstanding tourism talent and distinguished businesses throughout England."

"We received over 400 truly impressive applications this year and there's absolutely no doubt those shortlisted are representatives of the best in the industry who place delivering an unforgettable experience to visitors in England at the heart of their business operations. I'd like to congratulate all finalists and wish them the very best of luck on Awards night at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool."
