Hotel Addresses Decline In Old-Fashioned Romance

Wine and Dine for £39!

As the world becomes more tech savvy, we now choose to woo our loved ones via a tweet* but this digital dating approach is playing havoc with our romance skills.

To celebrate Valentine's Day, QHotels has introduced Qpid - an incognito romance expert to help guests brush up on their romantic skills.

Qpid will offer guests advice and support in making romantic gestures during their Valentine's weekend stay - from organising flowers for the room and a Champagne breakfast to a private candlit dinner. Qpid will help busy or inexperienced romantics discreetly organise every little detail, but as Qpid remains a mystery character - it's the guest who gets to take all the credit.

Guests wishing to benefit from Qpid's pearls of romantic wisdom, can interact, ask questions and request advice by simply tweeting @QHotels using #Qpid.

Claire Rowland, Director of Marketing at QHotels, said; "QHotels is renowned for providing an excellent level of service, tailored to each guest. Our new Qpid character is taking this personalisation one step further to ensure couples looking for a romantic break this Valentine's Day reclaim the lost art of romance."

Qpid said: "A short-break is a great opportunity to rekindle a romance and bring back some good old-fashioned chivalry. Being "old fashioned" doesn't mean you're a cliché. In fact, a true old-fashioned relationship can be more exciting and romantic than anything you've ever experienced! From opening the doors and holding out chairs to private picnics on our hotel grounds."

QHotels' one-night romance package is priced from £82.50 per person and includes:

  • An extensive breakfast buffet full of hot and cold delights
  • A bottle of Champagne and box of chocolates in your bedroom
