THE FRENCH PROVES TO BE THE MIDLAND’S FOUR-TÉ IN AA AWARDS

The French by Simon Rogan at QHotels' Manchester hotel, The Midland is today celebrating its latest outstanding national accolade after it was awarded its esteemed fourth AA Rosette at the AA Hospitality Awards last night, making The French the city's most awarded restaurant.

The AA awards recognise and reward the excellent services provided by the UK's best hotels and restaurants, and with those with four AA Rosettes selected for exhibiting intense ambition, a passion for excellence, superb technical skills and remarkable consistency, The French is officially placed among the top restaurants in the country.

The Midland is part of the QHotels group, which was also recognised last night, receiving the coveted AA Hotel Group of the Year 2014/15award.

2014 has so far been a fantastic year for QHotels' iconic Grade II listed Manchester property with a whole host of prestigious industry plaudits. Last month The French was named Restaurant of the Year outside London in the Food and Travel Magazine Reader's Awards and earlier this year The Midland was named Group Hotel of the Year in the illustrious Caterer and Hotelkeeper Awards 2014.

Head Chef of The French, Adam Reid, earlier this year scooped a prestigious Caterer & Hotelkeeper Acorn Award, identifying him as one of the top four young chefs in the UK.

General Manager of The Midland, Mike Magrane said: "We are absolutely elated that the French has achieved a fourth AA Rosette. This is an amazing honour and testament to the team's hard work, skill and passion. The French has gone from strength to strength since it opened last year and has paved the way for many exciting new restaurant ventures in Manchester, proving that people don't need to head to London to experience the very best of British cuisine."

"The team at The French gets stronger and stronger every day. I am so proud of what Adam is doing in the kitchen, and Kamila with the front of house," stated Simon Rogan. "The restaurant has become a pretty seamless operation, incorporating the DNA of what we do at L'Enclume but with its own Manchester personality - and achieving our four AA rosettes is a perfect acknowledgement of all of the hard work."
