The Nottingham Belfry award win

Last night, The Nottingham Belfry Hotel was honoured with a Best Business Award for Commitment to People Development at the prestigious Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce Awards.

The award, which only three businesses in Nottinghamshire were shortlisted for, highlights the hotel's continued development of its team, which is the basis for the hotel's success and has helped them become one of the premier venues in the East Midlands for accommodation and events.

The Nottingham Belfry is heavily involved in the local community, providing opportunities through work placement and employment for local students and school leavers. In addition, the hotel won the Employer Engagement award from Portland College earlier in the year for their on-going support of local students with varied learning needs.

As well as boasting excellent leisure facilities, The Nottingham Belfry is also the region's biggest conference venue, with state of the art facilities that can accommodate up to 700 people across 13 fully flexible conference and meeting rooms. Furthermore, the four-star hotel offers 120 spacious bedrooms and superb spa facilities.

Claire Steven, General Manager at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel said "We are delighted to have won this esteemed award, which recognises the emphasis we place on people development as a business and the importance of the entire team."

The Nottingham Belfry strives for excellence and is very proud to receive this award, which will join others in the trophy cabinet for 2013 including Health Club of the Year for the East Midlands and A Venue Verdict Gold award that recognises excellence in customer service in the events industry.
