QHotels places importance on training and developing its staff and has created initiatives such as The Chef Development Programme which aims to develop the skills of kitchen staff at all levels.

Matt said: "I am really happy to have been shortlisted for this award. In this industry, training and skill development are fundamental to career progression. I received some fantastic training and advice when I was first starting out as a chef and it feels good to be able to pass on my skills and watch young apprentices progress."
