New technology and F&B

This week marked the fifth panel event that we've hosted, bringing together our members to discuss new tech developments and the changing expectations of F&B in the events industry. We've recently welcomed some new professionals to our Events Profs Panel so the two-day event was a perfect opportunity to introduce them to the rest of the group and to get some new perspectives.

This time the event was held at The Cheltenham Chase Hotel and included a luxury banqueting experience to showcase QHotels' winning chef menu and gin experience. The following day the group was joined by specialists from Universal Live to share the latest technology advancements being used in the events industry including virtual reality, augmented reality and projection mapping.

After the tech demonstrations QHotels' F&B Director, Chris Eigelaar, showcased our new C&E lunch menu, highlighting the research that we underwent to understand what F&B options should be provided by venues when it comes to meeting delegate expectations.

The event closed with a guest appearance from Seedlip, creators of distilled non-alcoholic spirits, giving attendees a chance to taste its products and discuss whether these kinds of non-alcoholic drinks could be a more prominent feature in future conferences and events.

As expected, there are many intriguing findings from the day so stay tuned to find out more!
