You joined QHotels in July, how have you spent your time
Getting to know the team and our key clients whilst at the same
time exploring the true potential of The Queens in terms of the
stunning meeting and banqueting facilities we have at the hotel.
The hotel has a rich and prestigious history and I want to
ensure any changes or improvements we make at The Queens emphasise
and proudly promote that sense of grandeur and Art Deco design.
How long have you been in the hospitality
Forever...starting at the age of 14 in my family business in the
Peak District, I have never looked back.

Event organisers/planners want much more variety for their
events, many are working really hard to deliver a memorable
experience to support key messages from their events. This is
great news for The Queens as we have great flexibility over what we
can offer our events, both in terms of food and beverage and the

Other than The Queens, which is your favourite property
in the QHotels group and why?
Without doubt Slaley Hall in Northumberland, it has such a great
sense of character and stunning facilities. It's a great
destination to escape to and relax with friends and family, the
team are genuinely welcoming and there is so much to explore in
that part of the world.
