What Keeps Our Hotel Teams Motivated?

It's the three most dreaded words you can hear mid- January - 'New Year's Resolution'. Yes, all those promises we made to ourselves (and others!) at the start of the year when we were at our most vulnerable, on a post-festive season high - no-one can stop us, we are invincible, THIS IS OUR YEAR *fist pumps air*. Whether you promised to give up chocolate, the odd glass of wine, go to the gym EVERY day, stay organised at work…two weeks later you're sat on the sofa in your onesie, surrounded by chocolate wrappers and a half empty bottle of vino feeling not-so-proud of yourself and not so 'new year, new you'. It's ok, we won't tell on you, in fact we think we may be able to help…

Did you know that January 17th is officially 'Ditch Your New Year's Resolution Day'? At QHotels we leave no man behind, and so we asked our hotel teams what it is that keeps them motivated throughout those dreaded January blues. Read on to find out what they said!

If you say that getting the money is the most important thing, you will spend your life completely wasting your time.  You'll be doing things you don't like doing in order to go on living, that is to go on doing things you don't like doing, which is stupid.  Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way.
