Fantastic guest speakers draw in the crowds for the Sportsman’s Dinner and golf tournament at Forest Pines
This Autumn’s Sportsman’s Dinner on 26th October at Forest Pines Golf and Country Club, part of the QHotels group, is set to be a grand affair, with Leeds United legend - Norman Hunter and comedian Andy Wilkins as guest speakers.
This twice yearly celebration of sport is hosted by David Edwards, Director of Golf at Forest Pines and recent winner of the Midlands Golf Pro of the Year Award. The event kicks off with a golf tournament, where teams of four players from both the public and regional and national businesses compete for the coveted trophy.
The evening meal will be attended by 250 sports enthusiasts, who will enjoy the two guest speakers as well as a four course meal and tickets are selling at a record rate this year.
David Edwards, Director of Golf at Forest Pines said: “The Sportsman’s Dinner is always popular, however I am particularly excited about this Autumn’s event as we have got some great teams competing in the golf competition during the day with many old and new faces coming along.
“This event is the perfect get together for people to celebrate their passion for sport, I am particularly looking forward to hearing the Leeds United legend Norman Hunter speak, and the comedian Andy Wilkins will definitely make the evening great fun”.
The event will be held on Wednesday 26th October. The golf tournament will begin in the morning and it is recommended that teams of four players enter.
Tickets including the golf tournament are priced at £57 and tickets for the dinner only are £32.
