TELFORD IS THE LATEST TO JOIN QHOTELS GROUP
Tuesday 21st November 2006
It’s been a busy time for Leeds based QHotels Group. Just seven days after it announced the £180 million acquisition of Marston Hotels, today QHotels announce that Telford Golf and Country Club Hotel is the latest property to join its rapidly expanding Group.
The addition of Telford Golf & Country Club Hotel sees the hotel chain rise to 22 properties, growing by over 140% in less than a week.
This newest acquisition is situated in beautiful Shropshire countryside, overlooking the Ironbridge Gorge and its historic bridge. The Hotel currently has 96 bedrooms, an 18-hole golf course, conference facilities for up to 200, and gym and pool amenities.
As with the majority of new acquisitions for QHotels, Telford Golf & Country Club Hotel will undergo a full audit immediately, and a major investment and development plan will soon be put in place which will bring the Hotel in line with the rest of the Group’s impressive portfolio.
Since forming in 2003, QHotels has greatly expanded from its initial three flagship hotels, which includes The Midland in Manchester, The Queens in Leeds and Chesford Grange in Warwick; the acquisition last week of Marston Hotels saw the group grow to 21 luxury 4-star hotels located across the UK.
Although QHotels is still fairly new in relation to other hotel chains, it is quickly gaining itself an impressive reputation for investing in its properties and people, with over £65 million already invested in 9 of its hotels, and further plans to invest and develop the rest.
Telford Golf & Country Club Hotel is an ex-Swallow Hotel and has been acquired by QHotels for an undisclosed sum.
