Success for the Park Royal Hotel… in New York!

One of the newest additions to the team at the Park Royal Hotel has been impressing the crowds in New York, by completing the city’s famous marathon in just 3 hours and 39 minutes. Joe Cravagan, who arrived in the Big Apple the day before and stayed for just 36 hours, managed to fight off the jet lag and a hamstring injury on the 18th mile, to come in just over an hour behind the race winner Paula Radcliffe.
Speaking of his achievements, Joe said, “I am extremely pleased with my result, and the next race will be the London Marathon during which I hope to qualify for Boston in 2009.”
Joe Cravagan, who manages the hotel’s Reflections Health Club managed to raise over £800 for Children with Leukaemia in doing so, and this is in addition to the monies he has already raised this year by running the Great Manchester and Great Northern Runs.
Joe joined the Park Royal in September after more than ten years at the hotel’s sister property in Manchester, The Midland.
