Park Royal Hotel being Transformed with a £3.8m Refurbishment

Monday 19th June 2006

The Park Royal Hotel in Warrington, part of the Q Hotels portfolio, is undergoing a £3.8million refurbishment programme this year to modernize and upgrade the hotel’s 146 bedrooms, extensive conference facilities, spa & leisure club, bar and restaurant.

The second phase of refurbishment is due to be completed next month with the renovation of the hotel’s main reception area, lounge & bar, leisure club and the extension and refurbishment of the restaurant – renamed Topiary in the Park. This now provides 192 seats in a spacious, informal à la Carte restaurant. The classic yet contemporary and stylish interior design uses bold, modern fabrics of deep red, chocolate brown and rich creams to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The refurbished Leisure Club and Spa now offers a more extensive range of holistic spa treatments and a sauna & solarium, in addition to the state-of-the-art gym and large swimming pool.

The £1.5 million investment to upgrade the bedrooms was completed earlier this year and has created new deluxe rooms and junior suites, seen the addition of WiFi and Sky TV to all rooms and transformed the guest rooms, which now offer a luxurious and contemporary standard in design, style and usability.

Yvonne Jackson, General Manager at the Park Royal Hotel said, “The new bedrooms have proven exceptionally popular with our guests and I am confident that the addition of the refurbished bar and restaurant will only add to guest enjoyment of the Park Royal Hotel, allowing us to further develop and grow our business into 2007.”

Phase 3 of the programme will include upgrading the conference facilities and the project is part of QHotels’ wider investment of over £50 million across its portfolio of eight hotels.
