NOTTINGHAM BELFRY GREETS BOLSHOI BALLET VISIT WITH SPECIAL RATES

Tuesday 28th February 2006

Ballet-lovers from across the UK will be flocking to Nottingham in April to see the world-famous Bolshoi Ballet perform a programme of extracts from its most spectacular and lavish productions and the city’s hippest new hotel has launched a special offer to help them celebrate their visit in style.

While The Bolshoi Ballet performs at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall between Monday 10 and Saturday 15 April, visitors to the city can stay at the four-star Nottingham Belfry hotel for just £49.75 per person per night based on two people sharing a twin or double bedded room. The rate includes full English breakfast.

The Bolshoi Ballet will stage the ballet Giselle from Monday 10 April to Wednesday 12 April, before presenting its Gala Performance on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 April. The Gala is a celebration of the greatness of the Bolshoi and will feature fully-staged elements of the company’s most spectacular and lavish productions, such as Act 3 of Swan Lake and excerpts from Spartacus, as well as exciting divertissements, including Le Corsaire and Don Quixote. This unique programme will only be performed to Nottingham audiences.

Marston Hotels launched the £22 million Nottingham Belfry in February as the hippest and most stylish spa hotel in the East Midlands. Situated close to J26 of the M1, less than four miles from Nottingham city centre, it offers the ideal base from which to explore Nottingham’s many attractions, including Tales of Robin Hood, Nottingham Castle and Sherwood Forest Country Park.
