North Hampshire Chamber of Commerce help celebrate launch of new conference suite

During the course of 2006 QHotels have been developing Norton Park (formerly known as Norton Manor) at Sutton Scotney, just outside Winchester, into a 4 star deluxe 185 bedroom Hotel. New facilities will include 90 new deluxe bedrooms, a new Restaurant and Bar (due to open early December), a new Leisure Club and Beauty Suite (opening October 2nd) as well as a new reception and main entrance.
Additionally a brand new, multi purpose Conference, Meeting and Banqueting Suite has been created. At it’s heart, the spectacular new Norton Suite capable of accommodating over 300 people for conferencing and 250 people for private dinners. The Norton Suite benefits from a state of the art lighting and sound system, air conditioning and natural daylight, as well as private lounge, breakout, cloakroom and bar facilities.
Finally the Hotel (which has continued to trade successfully throughout the development) also already features a beautiful 16th Century Manor House with 13 en suite luxury bedrooms, 5 executive meeting rooms and magnificent landscaped gardens including it’s own lake. The Manor House will also be refurbished as part of the development.
Economically it is estimated that the Hotel will generate an additional 140 jobs, primarily in the local market. Turnover is expected to at least double in the first full year of trading and many local partnerships have already been formed. Many of these include supply agreements with local businesses.
QHotels are extremely grateful to The North Hampshire Chamber of Commerce for the support it has offered throughout the development and it is therefore particularly fitting that the first event to be held in the new Norton Suite should be the Presidents Lunch.
