Manchester’s Hoteliers are having a Ball!

Preparations are underway for the Manchester Hoteliers Association annual Ball, which takes place at the newly refurbished Midland Hotel on Friday 27th October.
The MHA, which is chaired and run by General Managers from some of Manchester’s key hotels, are hosting the Ball in order to raise vital funds for Hospitality Action; a charity which is the benevolent organisation for people in the hospitality industry, and helps individuals through education schemes, grants and emotional support.
The Ball will bring together hoteliers from across the city centre and Greater Manchester. As a non-profit organisation, the Manchester Hoteliers Association is dedicated to championing the good work of Manchester’s hoteliers and their hotels, and ensuring that all members are informed and involved in the policy-making and government decisions that affect the industry.
Stephen Miles, Chair of the Manchester Hoteliers Association said: “We are all looking forward to getting together at The Midland for our annual ball. It’s a great opportunity to get all of Manchester’s hoteliers together whilst at the same time raising money for a very worthy cause; Hospitality Action is a national charity that helps people from the hospitality industry all across the UK and it provides an indispensable service to those who need it most. Last year we raised £11k and we’re hoping to exceed that this year!“
The hotel & hospitality industry is an essential sector for Manchester. With 40 members employing over 5000 people the MHA is a major contributor to the economic growth of the City, collectively generating over £250 million for the local economy.
The Manchester Hoteliers Association likes all of its members to have an input into many of the factors that influence the hotel industry such as marketing, media, city matters and tourism activities.
