Locally renowned Norton Manor to become Norton Park

Name change for hotel to reflect multi-million pound investment
To launch the recently unveiled £11million expansion programme, Norton Manor has been renamed Norton Park, to more effectively reflect the diverse range of facilities and its picturesque setting in 50 acres of parkland on the outskirts of Winchester.
QHotels has received full planning consent to transform and expand the existing hotel into a 4* deluxe hotel complex.
The work is set to begin in March with extensive landscaping of all outside areas and the development of an impressive new reception and main entrance. Further plans include the creation of a new conference centre with a delegate capacity of over 300 and an increase in the number of bedrooms from 97 to 185. In addition the hotel is undertaking a complete refurbishment and rebranding of the bar and dining facilities as well as the health and beauty suite, to promote first class leisure facilities.
Andrew Mosley, General Manager at Norton Park said, “The new name marks the beginning of exciting developments here at Norton Park, as the investment brings the hotel complex into a new league, as a first choice venue for conferencing and business, as well as leisure breaks, private dining and weddings". He concluded, “We are aiming to attract local residents too, with the creation of a contemporary and vibrant restaurant and the further establishment of an exclusive leisure, health and beauty club.”
The £11million investment in Norton Park is part of QHotels’ wider investment of over £50million across its portfolio of eight hotels.
The project has a phased completion date set for January 2007, allowing the hotel to remain open throughout the development period, with the conference and banqueting suite available from September 2006, the new restaurant and bar open in October 2006 and the refurbished leisure club and new beauty suite open in August 2006.
