Introduction of Delphi Helps Save the Forest at the Forest Pines Hotel
Tuesday 1st August 2006
The Forest Pines Hotel is taking an environmental step forward to help save the forest with the introduction of the paperless conference and events booking system Delphi.
The American system is designed to make enquiries and bookings easier to track and process and creates a paper free office. Through storing previous client accounts and histories Delphi enables the staff at Forest Pines to be more efficient with incoming enquiries and throughout the booking process, which in turn, and most importantly, provides a more professional service to the client.
The six-strong sales team have undergone four weeks pre-training prior to the system going live on 25th July. The team will continue ‘live’ training for a further four weeks.
Louise Jacobs, Sales Office Manager, says; “This is a positive step forward for our sales department. It enables us to provide a more streamline, and environmentally friendly, service to our clients as we can track enquiries more efficiently; especially as the hotel’s facilities are expanding with the substantial investment from Q-Hotels.”
Q Hotels will implement Delphi at each of their nine hotels to enable their sales team to manage the growing conference and events business, ‘Events by Q Hotels’. The group are investing over £50 million into their increasing portfolio of Hotels with a substantial amount being spent on up-grading the conference and banqueting facilities.
The Forest Pines Hotel is currently benefiting from a £10 million investment and refurbishment programme that will add an additional 75 bedrooms, a new conference centre catering for up to 364 delegates and the existing bedrooms and public areas refurbished. The golf and leisure facilities will be upgraded.
