Forest Pines Hotel Blooms During Refurbishment

Forest Pines Golf and Country Club Hotel have been awarded Gold in the Yorkshire in Bloom awards 2006, they competed against 11 hotels to win the category of residential accommodation with 20+ rooms.
Forest Pines was praised by the judges for their floral displays, permanent landscaping and for environmental factors. The judge commended the Head Green Keeper David Norton saying:
“This has to be the best planting up around the hotel, reception and clubhouse I have ever seen…this head Green Keeper is doing a brilliant job, keep up the great work.”
They also added that, “different permanent planting schemes using some unusual plants was inspirational.”
Head Green Keeper David Norton said: “We are delighted to be acknowledged in the Yorkshire in Bloom awards. I am proud of my team as they have all worked so hard to maintain the grounds during the hotels £10 million refurbishment.”
Forest Pines Golf and Country Club Hotel is set in 190 acres of stunning woodland and includes 27 holes of championship golf and a beauty spa. The resort is now in the final stages of their £10 million refurbishment programme, which includes the addition of 75 bedrooms and a new conference centre catering for up to 364 delegates.
