Chitty soars into Manchester

Wednesday 7th December 2005

After nearly four years enchanting audiences at the London Palladium, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is taking flight and soaring into Manchester on the second leg of its National Tour.

Based on the books by Ian Fleming and the United Artists film of 1968, the musical opened at the London Palladium on 16th April 2002 to rave reviews and became the longest running show at the Palladium.

The Chitty car used on the tour is the original from the London production and holds the Guinness World Record for being the most expensive prop in British theatre history.

The show hits Manchester's Palace Theatre on 20th March 2006 and runs until 10th June 2006.
