Ashford International Welcomes New General Manager

Ashford International is pleased to announce the appointment of Deirdre Billing as their new General Manager.
Deirdre joins the hotel as they begin a £5 million refurbishment courtesy of owners QHotels. Deirdre will steer the hotel through the renovations that will make Ashford International one of the most enviable hotel and conference centres in the region.
Originally from Ireland Deirdre has lived and worked in London since 1988. She currently lives in West Malling, Kent , and joins Ashford International after a two-year career break during which Deirdre married and became a mother to Sophie, now 2.
Deirdre brings an impressive range of experience from her time in London, formally the General Manager of the Thistle Kensington Gardens & Hyde Park, Deirdre has also spent time in the 5-star sector; including the Royal Horseguards hotel and Whitehall Palace, where she had the honour of meeting Prince Charles.
As a service and sales driven manager Deirdre will draw on her experience to bring the high service standards from the capital to Ashford. Her range of knowledge and experience will be a strong asset to Ashford International and the QHotels group.

Ashford International is the largest conference facility in Kent, with 12 conference and function rooms, holding up to 400 guests in the Mountbatten Suite, 179 bedrooms, restaurants, bar and leisure club. The £5 million refurbishment will update and modernize all aspects of the hotel, including the public areas, bedrooms and conference facilities.
