Monday 3rd July 2006
Ashford International Hotel is the ninth (9) hotel to join the expanding Hotel group who are currently building a reputation for themselves as a company who acquire quality prestigious hotels and invest heavily in them.
Plans are already in place for a £5 million investment in the Hotel, which will include refurbishment of all 177 bedrooms plus corridors, refurbishment of the reception and boulevard areas, re-decoration of all conference, banqueting and meeting areas, and air conditioning to all bedrooms, restaurants and offices. The Hotel, set in 8 acres of ground, will also benefit from landscaping to outdoor areas.
Michael Purtill, Managing Director of QHotels says:
“Ashford International is a fantastic property which perfectly suits our vision when looking for Hotels to invest in. We strongly believe in investing in both the property and the people and are very much committed to helping the Hotel achieve its full potential.”
The Hotel, surrounded by castles, gardens, seaside resorts and shopping centers, is in the heart of Kent, perfectly situated just off the M20 with the Garden of England on the doorstep. In addition to the 177 spacious bedrooms, the Hotel boasts an impressive choice of dining, flexible and modern conference rooms, health & leisure facilities and also benefits from an excellent infrastructure only 5 minutes from the international rail link to Paris and Brussels and just a short distance from Le Shuttle and the Port of Dover.
