A Name Change for Telford

The new name - The Telford Golf & Spa Hotel - heralds a new era as the extensive £7 million refurbishment of the hotel by owners QHotels continues a pace. The hotel’s brand new Restaurant 1779, over looking the Ironbridge Gorge, and 50 of the bedrooms are already up and running and looking fabulous. The rest of the transformation completes in development phases; all due for completion by December this year.
Gary Aymes, the hotel’s General Manager explained: “We feel the new name, which highlights our brand new Spa facility, will much better reflect the finished four star venue. The Telford Golf & Spa Hotel will comprise 114 bedrooms, conference and event rooms for up to 300 guests, Restaurant 1779, Lounge and Club Bars, our well-renowned 18 hole championship Golf Course and the superb Reflections Spa & Leisure facility.
“The new name will start to appear on brochures and signage as the refurbishment nears completion through the autumn, but we’ll start referring to The Telford Golf & Spa Hotel in the hotel from early September. So when you phone to enquire for your conference, breakaway, Christmas party, wedding, golf package or Reflections spa treatment… please don’t think you’ve got through to the wrong number!”
