Bedrooms

The Oxford Belfry has the following accessible rooms available:

• Two fully accessible rooms with wide doorways, wet room with accessible wheel-in shower with wall mounted drop down seat and grab rails, and emergency pull cord. Horizontal and vertical grab rails are positioned at the side of the toilet. In the event of fire alarm activation these rooms have both a sounder and a visual flashing light.
• Four accessible rooms have wide doorways, bathroom with grab rails and emergency pull cord.

In the above mentioned bedrooms, there is transfer space and turning of at least 120cm either side of the beds.
The flooring is short pile carpet and the flooring in bathrooms is tiled.
Reading lamps are provided and room service is 24 hours.
Items of furniture can also be moved or removed on request.
Emergency pull cords link directly to reception from both the bedroom and bathroom.
In the event of an emergency, a member of the team will assist with evacuation if necessary. Fire evacuation advice is provided on the back of the bedroom door and refuge areas are situated along each corridor in case staff need to summon extra assistance during evacuation.

• We have two other rooms, with bathrooms, that are fitted with emergency pull cords only; one of these interconnects with a twin room for children and/or carer, and has both a sounder and a visual flashing light.

Public areas

There are minimal steps or slopes on the main corridors and public areas on the ground floor. All stairs can be avoided by lifts or sloping corridors.
All the restaurant, bar and lounge facilities at The Oxford Belfry are located on the ground floor making them easily accessible.

The public telephone is located between reception and the restaurant, on the left at the top of the corridor.
All lifts have audible enunciation and tactile buttons at standard height.
Accessible toilet facilities are located between the bar and the leisure club.
There is good network coverage for mobile phones within the hotel. All networks work.

Conference, Banqueting and Meeting Rooms

The majority of our meeting rooms are located on the ground floor and are fully accessible from Reception. There are three rooms on the first floor which are accessed via the lifts, or staircase to the right of reception.
Hearing loops are available upon request in advance. Lighting can be dimmed where required.
Please notify your conference or banquet co-ordinator for specific seating or staging requirements.
Accessible toilets are located between the bar and leisure club or off the College Lounge.

Leisure Club and Spa

The leisure club is located on the ground floor. A member of the leisure team will show you the facilities and assist with access to the swimming pool and spa.  A dedicated accessible toilet and changing area is located within the leisure club, as well as a wheel in shower room with drop down seat and appropriate grab rails. Access to poolside is on the same level and there are steps with a handrail into the pool. Both the steam room and sauna are accessible with door widths of 85cm and 90cm respectively. Seating is provided in both.

Outdoor Facilities

The upper patio area of the courtyard may be accessed via the doors either side of the conservatory or from the main function suites. This is level, with paving and decking. A paved slope leads down from the upper area of the courtyard to the rear of the building (a sloping gravelled drive leads back round to the car park and front of the hotel) and the tennis courts may be accessed via a sloping gravel path. The paved external dining area adjacent to the Terrace Bar is accessible from the bar and an adjacent function room.
