Of all the ten museums at the Ironbridge Gorge, Blists Hill Victorian Town is perhaps the most popular.The open-air museum allows visitors to experience an, atmospheric way of Victorian life in the late 1800's. The attractions at Blists Hill include a nineteenth century steam-operated pithead, a Victorian chemist, a squatters cottage, a schoolhouse and a bank, where you can obtain Blists Hills own Victorian legal tender to spend in the towns shops and pubs.

At the Darby Houses you'll gain an insight into the gracious lifestyle of the Darby family.  Rosehill House, was one of the homes of the Darby family and their descendants during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and many of the rooms are lavishly decorated with the original furniture. Adjacent to Rosehill House is Dale House, which includes the original wood-panelled study, where the great Quaker Ironmaster Abraham Darby III finalised his preparations and plans for the construction of the world's first Iron Bridge.
