Chesford Grange Access Statement
We aim to provide the highest standards of service to all our
guests and we look forward to welcoming you to Chesford Grange and
making your stay an enjoyable one. Facilities for guests with
disability needs are as follows:
Directions to Chesford Grange are available by clicking here or by calling
the hotel on 01926 859331.
As you arrive at Chesford Grange you will find 650 parking spaces,
you will need to enter the hotel by the main reception entrance and
not the Events Centre entrance. You will find five parking
spaces to the left of the reception entrance reserved for blue
badge holders. There is a ramp from the disabled parking into
the hotel where the main entrance has sliding doors. If you
are attending a conference there is also 5 designated spaces in the
Events Centre car park.
A member of the hotel team is available for assistance with
luggage or equipment, our porters are on duty 24 hours a day.
The reception desk is located on the ground floor level of the
hotel (we refer to it as level 2). The reception desk is
115cm high although check in can be completed whilst sitting in the
chairs opposite the desk.
You will be offered a personal check - in service with a full
explanation of the hotel's facilities together with a
familiarisation tour if required. Assistance is available to
help take your luggage to your room.
Reception staff will also brief you on our evacuation policy and
please note on your registration card if assistance is needed in
the event of an evacuation.
The following accessible aids are available at Reception:

disabilities in the event of a fire alarm
• An evacuation chair is also available to
enable staff to assist with am emergency evacuation
The lift and stairs to all bedrooms are located to the right of
reception at the end of the corridor on level 2. The leisure
club is located on level 1.
Chesford Grange has 7 purpose built disabled rooms located on
floors 2, 3 and 4, every room has appropriate grab rails and
emergency pull cords, one room on the third floor has a walk - in
In the event of a fire alarm evacuation these rooms have a
sounder. In the event of an emergency a member of the team
will assist with your evacuation if necessary. Fire
evacuation advice is provided on the back of your bedroom
The main Bar and River Room Restaurant are located on level 2 they
are easily accessible and the restaurant has a ramp.
Accessible toilet facilities are available in The Grange just ask a
member of the team for assistance or directions.
The garden is accessible around the side of the building just ask
a member of the team for assistance.
Conference, Banqueting and Meeting Rooms
Our main meeting rooms are located on level 2 and are easily
accessible. There are some meeting rooms on the lower ground
floor (Shakespeare Suites) but we have a designated disabled lift
to access these.
Lighting can be dimmed where required, please notify your
conference or banquet organiser for specific seating or staging
requirements which can easily be arranged.
Accessible toilets are located in The Grange.
Reflections Leisure and Spa
The leisure club is on the lower ground floor. A member of
the leisure team will show you the facilities and assist with
access to the swimming pool, changing area and spa.
