FOREST PINES HOTEL & GOLF RESORT GIVES CONFERENCE DELEGATES GOLFING MASTERCLASS

QHotels' Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort proudly hosted the prestigious Boys Home International Championship on 6th - 8th August and to celebrate the event's success, the hotel is offering a free golf master class to conference delegates on its 27-hole championship golf course.
The hotel and golf resort, one of QHotels 21 unique and luxurious hotels, is offering a free hour golf master class with the hotel's championship golf professional, Dan Greenwood. The master class is designed to get delegates - regardless of their golfing ability - playing golf, not only as a leisure activity, but also to develop their focus and motivation in the boardroom.
Golf has long been associated with business meetings and the golfing green has been host to many important business decisions over the years, it is therefore no surprise that the skills of a golfer often mirror those of a business person.
Group Golf Manager at QHotels, Andrew Cook said: "A good golfer remains calm under pressure, thinks strategically and believes in themselves - these are all virtues in business too. Our free golf master class will help delegates realise their potential both on and off the golf course.
"The Forest Pines golf course has hosted some of the country's top tournaments, including the PGA 4-ball championships and the Euro Pro Qualifier, but this was the most prestigious event we've ever hosted. We're really looking forward to hosting the delegate master classes, who knows? We might either meet the next Rory McIlroy or Alan Sugar."
The annual Boys Home International tournament saw the UK's best under-18 golfers compete for the R&A (Royal & Ancient) trophy. Established in 1923, the tournament has seen the likes of Rory McIlroy and Justin Hope play. This year Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales played a series of round-robin matches and was one of the most anticipated youth events in the golfing calendar.
QHotels' Managing Director, Michael Purtill said: "It is a privilege to have hosted such an inspiring tournament to highlight the skills of the next generation of golf champions. It's a fantastic recognition of Forest Pines' facilities and hardworking staff that the R&A chose to host the tournament with us.
"Our facilities lend themselves perfectly to both golf and business, with our championship golf course and conference and meeting rooms. We look forward to welcoming business delegates to our conference rooms and golf course."
Nestled in 190 acres of beautiful woodland, the Forest Pines golf course has been ranked among the UK's leading winter courses and boasts three 9-hole golf courses, covering 10,000 yards.
