Golf at The Telford Golf & Spa Hotel
A picturesque course the 6741 yard championship course was built by renowned architect's John Harris and Brian Griffiths. The attractive tree-lined 170 acre parkland course features strategically placed water hazards and tree-lined fairways. The undulating greens are laid on a suspended water table system, the same as Augusta, home of the US Masters. Telford was the setting for Ian Woosnam's first Pro Tournament win.
A challenge for all golfers. The 8th hole is one of the most picturesque on the golf course. From the competition tee lies ahead a 382 yard par 4. Sounds easy, until you tee off. The hole starts with a drive ideally placed up to 250 yards which needs to be landed to perfection to miss the two fairway bunkers, and then you have to negotiate a pond with its beautiful mature oak tree strategically placed to make your approach shot just that little bit more interesting!
The Club boasts a driving range, two putting greens, a practice bunker and chipping area allowing you to practice and perfect your game.
Whether you are a group of friends, a society or a couple looking for a golfing break, Telford Golf and Spa Hotel is a great location.
