Our perfectionist approach to food starts with some of our chefs' traditions. Wander into our kitchen and we challenge you to find 13 of anything. It has to be 12 or 14 always. Spoons to butter pots.

Our new restaurant is reputedly one of the best in Cheshire – which is as good an excuse as any to test it out a few times. Topiary in the Park is a contemporary English menu that covers everything from a flamboyant take on fish such as Grilled plaice fillet, scallops, garlic and parsley butter to more classic dishes. Whatever you choose, you may want to use your napkin to mop up the drool as you wait for your order. No-one will see.

Feast on 3 courses of sublime deliciousness in a sophisticated, convivial atmosphere, waited on by attentive restaurant staff who'll make you feel welcome. In fact the welcome is so warm, many a lady has gone weak at the knees when our French waiter, Mickael brings their order.

After dinner, you can walk it off a little around our lovely grounds, retire to the Topiary Terrace for a drink or take a nightcap up to your room and dream about the delicacies you've just savoured.

The Topiary in the Park restaurant is open all day, for anything from light snacks to 3 course indulgences. Bookings are advisable all the time, especially at Christmas. So be sure to book early. We don't want any tears.
