Arrival

As you arrive at The Nottingham Belfry Hotel, you will find 250 free parking spaces of which six are reserved for blue badge holders. These are located within 30 meters of the hotel's main entrance. There is also a turning circle located directly outside the main entrance for dropping off and picking up only. This has a dropped kerb. There is a level, paved route from the disabled parking into the hotel where the main entrance has an automatic revolving door and two manual side doors.
Concierge is available for valet parking upon request at reception or by prior arrangement. If you need assistance with luggage or equipment, our team are on duty 24 hours and are able to assist.
Reception
The Reception desk is located on the ground floor of the hotel in the entrance lobby. The reception desk is 110cm high although check-in can also be completed whilst sitting at lowered section of the reception desk which is 75cm high
You will be offered a personal check-in service with a full explanation of the hotel's facilities together with a familiarisation tour if required. Assistance is available to help take your luggage to your room.
Reception staff will also brief you on our evacuation policy and make a note on your registration card if assistance is needed in the event of an evacuation.
The following accessible aids are available at Reception:
• Portable Induction Loop for use at Reception
• Large Button Phone
• Vibrating Pad to assist waking guests with hearing disabilities in the event of a fire alarm
• An evac chair is also available to enable staff to assist with the emergency evacuation of disabled, if necessary.
To the right of the main reception are the lifts to all floors for bedrooms, the leisure club lift is at the end of the corridor to the Chatterley’s suites and all meeting rooms are at ground level.
Bedrooms
The Nottingham Belfry Hotel has 6 purposes built disabled rooms, 2 on the each of the 3 floors. The 2 on the lower floor have wet room facilities. Two of the bedrooms interconnect to a double room for use by a carer or children. Twin or double bed combinations are available.
In the bedroom there is transfer space and turning of at least 120cm either side of beds. The flooring in bedrooms is short pile carpet and flooring in bathrooms is tiled. Reading lamps are provided, room service is 24 hours. Items of furniture can also be moved or removed on request.
Two of the bathrooms are designed with an accessible wheel-in shower / wall mounted drop down seat and appropriate grab rails. Emergency pull cords link directly to reception from both the bedroom and bathroom. Horizontal and vertical grab rails are positioned at the side of the toilet.
In the event of fire alarm activation these rooms have a sounder which will sound automatically. In the event of an emergency a member of the team will assist with your evacuation if necessary. Fire evacuation advice is provided on the back of your bedroom door and a disabled refuge area is situated on the landings of each fire exit stair case, should staff need to summon extra assistance during your evacuation.
Public areas
There are no steps or slopes on the main corridors and public areas on the ground floor.
All the restaurant, bar and lounge facilities at The Nottingham Belfry Hotel are located on the ground floor making them easily accessible.
All lifts have audible enunciation and tactile buttons at standard height.
Accessible toilet facilities are located on the ground level down the corridor opposite reception.
There is reasonable network coverage for most mobile phones within the hotel; however orange users may experience difficulties.
Conference, Banqueting & Meeting Rooms
All our meeting rooms are located on the ground floor and are fully accessible from Reception. Hearing loops are available upon request in advance. Lighting can be dimmed where required. Please notify your conference or banquet for specific seating or staging requirements.
Reflections Leisure and Spa
The leisure club gym and Spa facilities are located on the first floor and is accessible via lift. A member of the leisure team will show you the facilities and assist with access to the swimming pool and spa bath. If required, a hoist is available to gently lower you in and out of the pool and spa bath. A dedicated accessible toilet and changing area is located within the leisure club, as well as a wheel in shower room with drop down seat and appropriate grab rails. Access to the poolside is on the same level and there are steps with a handrail into the shallow end of the pool. The door of the steam room has an opening of 66cm and the sauna has an opening of 60cm and there is an 8mm clearance either side on entry. Seating is provided in both areas
Outdoor Facilities
The patio area can be accessed via the exit from Oaks Bar or from the exit to the left of reception which is level and paved. There are no other outdoor facilities.
Alternative means of transport
If not travelling by car, the nearest bus stop is situated in the adjacent housing estate 10 minutes walk from the hotel, and the bus routes from here take you to Nottingham City Centre.
An accessible taxi service is available from Central Cars who can be contacted from reception
The nearest train station is located in Nottingham City Centre.
