Accessibility at Stratford Manor

We aim to provide the highest standards of service to all our guests and we look forward to welcoming you to Stratford Manor and making your stay an enjoyable one. Facilities available for guests with disability needs are as follows:

Arrival

As you arrive at Stratford Manor, you will find 220 parking spaces of which four are reserved for blue badge holders. These are located the left and right hand side of the turning circle opposite the hotel's main entrance. The turning circle is located directly outside the main entrance for dropping off and picking up only. This has a dropped kerb. There is a paved ramp from the disabled parking into the hotel where the main entrance has an automatic revolving door and two manual side doors.

A member of the hotel team is available for valet parking if required.

If you need assistance with luggage or equipment, our team of porters are on duty 24 hours.

Reception

The Reception desk is located on the ground floor of the hotel in the entrance lobby. The reception desk is 107cm high although check-in can also be completed whilst sitting in the chairs opposite the desk.

You will be offered a personal check-in service with a full explanation of the hotel's facilities together with a familiarisation tour if required. Assistance is available to help take your luggage to your room.

Reception staff will also brief you on our evacuation policy and please note on your registration card if assistance is needed in the event of an evacuation.

The following accessible aids are available at Reception:

• An evacuation chair is also available to enable staff to assist with the emergency evacuation of disabled, if necessary.

• Vibrating Pad to assist waking guests with disabilities in the event of a fire alarm

Wheelchair is available on request.

To the right of the main reception are the lifts and stairs to all floors for the bedrooms. The leisure club and main conference rooms are located on the ground floor.

Bedrooms

Stratford Manor Hotel has five purpose built disabled rooms on the first floor. Rooms have either twin or double beds – please specify your requirements on booking.

In the bedroom there is transfer space and turning of at least 120cm either side of beds. The flooring in bedrooms is short pile carpet and flooring in bathrooms is tiled. Reading lamps are provided. Room service is 24 hours. Items of furniture can also be moved or removed on request.

Two of five the bathrooms are designed with an accessible wheel-in shower / wall mounted drop down seat and appropriate grab rails whilst the other disabled rooms have lowered baths. Emergency pull cords link directly to reception from both the bedroom and bathroom. Horizontal and vertical grab rails are positioned at the side of the toilet.

In the event of fire alarm activation these rooms have both a sounder. In the event of an emergency a member of the team will assist with your evacuation if necessary. Fire evacuation advice is provided on the back of your bedroom door and a disabled refuge area is situated at the end of each corridor, in the stair well, in case a member of staff needs to summon extra assistance during your evacuation.

Public areas

There are no steps or slopes on the main corridors and public areas on the ground floor.

All the restaurant, bar and lounge facilities at Stratford Manor are located on the ground floor making them easily accessible. There is, however, a raised area in the public bar with stair only access.

The public telephones are located to the right of reception.

All lifts tactile buttons at standard height.

Accessible toilet facilities are located in the leisure centre

Conference, Banqueting & Meeting Rooms

Our main meeting rooms are located on the ground floor and are fully accessible from Reception. There are some meeting rooms on the first floor, in the conference centre, and are accessed via the staircase.

Hearing loops are available upon request in advance. Lighting can be dimmed where required.

Please notify your conference or banquet for specific seating or staging requirements.

Accessible toilets are located at the leisure centre

Reflections Leisure and Spa

The leisure club is located on the ground floor. A member of the leisure team will show you the facilities and assist with access to the swimming pool and spa. If required, a hoist is available to gently lower you in and out of the pool and spa bath. A dedicated accessible toilet and changing area is located within the leisure club. Access to poolside is on the same level and there are steps with a handrail into the shallow end of the pool. Both the steam room and sauna are accessible with door widths of 85cm though there is a step of 8mm on entry. Seating is provided in both. Panic alarms are in the gym, steam room, sauna and around the pool side.

Outdoor Facilities

The patio area can be accessed via the Stratford suite exit which is level and paved.

If not travelling by car, the nearest bus stop is located at main gates where the no. 16 bus route from here takes you to Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Coventry.

The town centre is just 10 minutes taxi ride from the hotel entrance.
