Weddings at Stratford Manor

Civil Ceremonies
Stratford Manor has been approved by Warwickshire County Council for the solemnisation of civil marriages & commitment ceremonies for up to 250 guests.

Personal Attention
Rest assured that you will have the utmost attention from our friendly and professional staff, with the Conference and Banqueting Manager at Stratford Manor giving their personal thoughts below:

''The Wedding party are due to arrive at 2.30pm, so just time to finally check the room and brief the staff who will be serving the reception drinks in the lounge bar.

Many months of planning are about to come to fruition, weddings are a part of my job that I most enjoy and I at the end of the day am the person who will draw all the strings together. The girls in the office have liaised for many months with the wedding couple to ensure the detail is in place for today.
One waitress comes with me to the front door to stand at the top of the steps with two glasses of bubbly as the newly weds come up the red carpeted steps. Congratulations are passed on and the couple are escorted to the lounge. This will just be a brief chance to say hello to some friends before the photographer steps in to whisk them away once again.

It is now my responsibility to organise the reception line up, who goes where, it isn’t guess work, there is a correct way; although the family politics sometimes changes the rules.

The guests are seated, the happy couple are back in my charge again, with the grand entrance about to happen. “Ladies and Gentleman please be upstanding ……”.

Now it is time to co-ordinate the wedding breakfast, with one eye always on the top table, guiding and checking, ensuring that all is well. There are a few nerves with the wedding party with the speeches looming, they will enjoy the day more once the task is done.

The speeches are complete, colour has returned to the faces of the orators, it is time to reset the room for the evening. Guests mingle in the lounge, the happy couple take time out in their room – they are on cloud nine.

So am I – it all came together, I enjoy weddings as much as the couples – but perhaps for different reasons!''
