The grounds themselves offer more than enough scope for exploration, with any number of wooded valleys, trails, lakeside walks and gardens just waiting to be discovered.

Further afield, the border country of Warwickshire and Northamptonshire waits to yield up its hidden treasures to those inquisitive enough to beat a path away from the main roads and motorways and onto the bridleways and towpaths that criss cross the land.

On your journey, you’ll discover sleepy, unspoilt villages – not least, the nearby village of Hellidon itself – historic churches, country parks and gardens and acre after acre of green and pleasant countryside.

Be warned; this is a part of country where it’s easy to walk a lot further than you planned, simply by exploring  ‘just around the next corner.’
