2 Royals and 1 Squirrel for Afternoon Tea
The Sheridan Lounge is a focal point for any stay at QHotels' Crewe Hall. Wander in for a leisurely morning coffee, made just the way you like it, and a quiet read of the papers. Take your time over the glorious occasion of proper afternoon tea (just don't feed too many squidgy buns to the resident squirrel; he's getting a bit greedy). Then head back before dinner for a chilled out aperitif.
This delightful room in the old hall was once Lord Crewe's dining room, where he entertained King George V and Queen Mary during their visit in 1913, amongst other notable guests. Rich and opulent, one of the room's main features is an ornately carved oak screen, which gives the room the look of an old college hall. The lofty ceiling is magnificently decorated with striking pendants and gives an airy spacious grandeur to the room. No wonder so many guests want to linger here all day. Or is it the cakes?
