Greening the Supply Chain

We aim to develop strong relationships with our suppliers to help ensure that supplies of goods and services used in our business are sustainable, local where viable, and that we continue to obtain the best value in terms of cost, quality, service and innovation.

2010 Achievements

• Water filtering system introduced in 13 hotels
• Supplier checklists introduced for 3 hotels
• Menu designs incorporate local food wherever appropriate

2011 Objectives

• QHotels plan to have a ratio of 70/30 in favour of recycling to landfill compared to the industry standard ratio of landfill waste vs. recycling of 50/50.
• To continue to extend where viable locally sourced produce
• Explore every opportunity to purchase and replace using sustainable/energy efficient options wherever available and commercially viable
